Here are some pics of the freshly built bullet for the Demon. I just need to get 5 friction clutches for the tranny and it will be ready to install. Sorry for the crappy pics, I took them with my phone.

It's a 77 360 bored .060 with a set of .020 over 340 flat top pistons with J heads. Milodon pan, windage tray, and pickup with a HV oil pump. Installed a 20-602-4 Comp cam and lifters with Mancini 5/16 push rods and 273 adj rockers. The top is an Eddy TM5 with a 750 Holley carb. I can't wait to get it in and fired, so I can finally go play.

Very nice. What fun you will have with that sucker. Got any pics of the car it is going in? Play nice with the other kids on the block. HAHAHA

Check my profile and there are some early pics of the car. As soon as I start installing the new motor and trans, I'll get some new pics.

Naw, no porting as of yet. I'm trying to work a deal with a buddy who has a set of X heads, fully port matched both intake and exhaust, with 2.02 & 1.60 one piece stainless valves. I'm slowly wearing him down. LOL.

OK, I need some advice from the LA motor gurus. The oil dipstick tube was broken off in my block. I got the piece out, but am having a tough time getting the new tube in. Any words of advice?

Thanks,

Bill S.

I went to one of those pricey milodon stainless braided tubes, it installed easy and doesn't leak. The original style was a pain to install, IMHO.

Bob,

You were reading my mind, or I was reading yours. LOL That is exactly what I did this morning, and "voila" it went right in.

Thanks,

Bill S.
