Got my chrome bumpers back on my 69 for the first time since about 1983 or so. Thanks to the great tip to use TriCity Plating, and thanks to you who took time to sell me such nice bumper bolts. I was able to avoid all the Chinese reproductions. The bumpers fit and look great. Sorry the contrast is so severe but the sun is shining brightly today and it is so low in the sky.

I was sitting here because I had just run it out of gas and was waiting for the wife to come with my five gallon spare container. Seems my new fuel sending unit is not very accurate so that will be my next fix in the spring.

So you spent so much money on the bumpers that you could NOT afford gas?? Your bumpers look VERY nice!!

68 Dartman, that is a good one.

I'll get closeups when the sun is not out and you can actually see how straight they are.

Actually, the poor car is driven so little, the last time I put gas in it was maybe four months ago and it took me this long to run 60 miles. Should have known when I was getting 12 miles a gallon I was getting low on fuel. I think these oddball aftermarket sending units are not very accurate. This one shows full way too soon and empty, obviously way too late!

Anyone have suggestions on the best brand of sending unit?

I got mine here, it seems to work well with the factory gauge. It hit empty one time, and wouldn't ya know it, I ran out of gas, lol. At least I was in the yard.

I think it's the 12th one down for your application. The guy is pretty decent to deal with too, any questions call him he will chat with ya on the tele.

LOL, good one John!
The bumpers and entire car look awesome! Is the sender that out or is that the excuse you told the wife?? Gonna owe her a dinner.

Nope, it showed about a bit less than 1/8 th tank so I had figured I had a couple left. Nope. Basically empty!!!

Bumper and bolts look great, nothing beats original MOPAR parts, Very Nice looking car as well!
