Hello all! I just got my hands on a 1972 Plymouth Gold Duster in Gold, with a running 318 2 bbl automatic. It was a CA desert car, so it has minimal rust in lower rear quarters and wheel hole in trunk. That's it! I got it from a gentleman who got it from another that had parked it at 36000 miles. I believe this milage to be accurate, due to good pedal pads, door seals and door hinges. Even came with the original build sheet. She is complete and unmolested (all original glass) except for deteriorating paint, seat upholstery, dash and landau vinyl top. I am a Mopar man from the 70s and early 80s. Started with a 70 roadrunner, then a 69 Dart and then a 69 notch back Barracuda formula S. Man I wish I knew what I had back then, I woulda kept them all! I bought this Duster for a project while I winter in AZ. Thought I'd join up so I can gain some insight on what upgrades I can do to this car to make it more admirable. doing a compression test soon, then we will add some upgrades to the engine...starting with headers and stainless exhaust which it came with. Going to convert to floor shifter and buckets. Looking for a healthier rear end though.
