I don't usually share much but this is what's going on for me 24x40 garage, 11 foot ceiling, no more sitting still for winter months for men

How did you do the wall next to your neighbor? Looks like it is right on the property line.

That's very nice, love the color combo. Never realized that there would be buildings that close together in Montana. I had one built a couple of yrs. ago and have not regretted it.

I have been dreaming but I had to do it, makes no sense to be a car guy with no garage. Heat, and lift this summer
a lift too?????? you are going to have a lot of new friends methinks.
This is a buddy's garage, and personally, this is my ideal "shop"
Just a little cozy thing surrounded by all sorts of old stuff.

if the Austin runs outta room in his garage, it'd make a hole for it.:):)
I've already laid claim to it if he ever wants to get rid of it.
get in line:rofl:
hell i'd be happy if he let me buy just the engine. A 440 with a blower and hilborn injection.:steering:

Nice garage. Stick framed with 2x6. Excellent. Can’t wait to do mine, kind of an odd ball size, but it’s 27 1/2 by 29 1/2.

2 feet off property line requires a double fire wall on that side, also the 2 feet is only allowed if the structure is no closer than 52 feet from curb in my town

my garage is 24x72. it is "L" shaped with a 24x24 on the upper left due to lot size. i have a propane hanging 80,000 btu and it keeps it plenty warm when turned up to 65. but i don't live in montana either.

Now I have to decide on heater, shop is 24x40 any input
My garage is 30 x 32 or 960 sq ft. I put in a 50k btu BiggMaxx propane hanging propane heater. Garage has 2x4 insulated walls and R30 in the ceiling. I only turn heat on when I’m out there and only to 50 degrees. If your working with a sweatshirt on, it’s plenty warm. The heater really doesn’t run much. I’m in NE PA, gets pretty cold in the dead of winter.

Another option is to go with a DIY mini-split heat pump. They can heat efficiently down to -13 or so. It costs more than the hanging heater but you get AC with it.
