I've got a 72 Swinger, building a 340 (69). As most of you probably know the conn. rods have a notch machined on one side at the mating surface. This notch allows oil to be sprayed on opposite bore . My book says to make sure the rods are installed properly in order for this to occur. The bearings should have a notch also. The new clevite bearings I bought do not have this.I have not found a bearing that does. Is my book outdated. Does anyone know if these bearings are o.k. to use ? I really have enjoyed this sight .I have learned a lot of good stuff. I am crazy about Mopars. Any help would be appreciated.
