Good Afternoon;

My name is Bob Ashton. I am a former Show Manager from Championship Auto Shows, Inc, (the Autorama/World of Wheels people) and now am involved with a new venture.

Although I currently own a 390 powered 73 Hornet (mild custom), I have had a wide variety of B-Bodies in my garage, including a 69 440 GTX and a recently sold Super Bee inspired 383 Coronet Wagon, along with various other E-bodies. My ultimate car is a 70 Runner Convertible, which I will have in my garage someday. Would certainly like to have a 340 Demon in the fleet someday also.

I have been a "lurker" for some time now, and I am a long time midway vendor at the Mopar Nationals (Auto Know) and sponsor of the Mopar Nationals Model Car Contest for something like 13 years now.

I want to let everyone know about the new all indoor Muscle Car show that is launching in Chicago November 21-22, but wanted to introduce myself first.

Thanks;

Bob Ashton

Welcome, I would really like to see your 390 powered '73 AMC Hornet. I just got out of the AMC kick just recently. Matter of fact I'm getting rid of all of my AMC stuff tonight.

Welcome Bob. As you already know this is a great site for advice & humor. But sometimes I get them mixed up. If you get the chance how about posting some pics of the Hornet. Thanks and welcome.

Welcome Bob, it's nice to see a lurker join this wonderful site:lurk:......it helps add to all the knowledge and information that is already here.

Welcome Bob. This, as you are no doubt aware from being a "lurker" for a while, is a terrific site!
When you mentioned about having owned and recently sold your super bee inspired 383 Coronet wagon, it sent me scurrying to find an article I read in the Mopar enthusiast magazine about a similar project. (see Oct./Nov. 2007). This was about a '68 GTX 6-Barrel station wagon. (Pages 38-42). Great to see 'wagons aren't being overlooked as part of the Mopar family of fine automobiles.
All the best and I look forward to you sharing with us some of the knowledge you have.
Paul

Hi Bob! Welcome to the best Mopar site. You'll like it here.

Think the Tigers will do better this year?

Hi Bob! Welcome to FABO!!! As you can tell, we love our car **** around here and get a lil bit testy when we're deprived.

Let's talk about your indoor auto show in November soon. I'd love to donate a PSC gift certificate to the cause. I'll also add a link to it on my website (99% of my site visitors are motorheads of some sort). Give me a call or pass along your number and I'll call you.

Thanks for all the kind words.

The problem now is staying OFF of the site, since I do need to actually get stuff done occasionally! lol

I am working from a new computer, so I had to transfer all my pics to discs. Time to dig out the discs!

Sid, you know as well as the rest of us that nothing gets accomplished on the car except research when our butts are planted in the computer chair. Bench racing indeed!!!! :-D It's all good.

Bob, I'll be in touch or you can call me between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. central time any day.

Bob, I just left you a voice mail about the car show. Give me a call when it's convenient so we can go over the details!

Looks like Leanna is my new Hero! :happy11:

Now it is time to get some of you to join us with your cars.

The Mr. Norms Garage crew is planning a HUGE display featuring the new and the older GSS Darts and Mr. Sefton has also agreed to bring in his 68 Hemi Under Glass.

This just keeps getting better and bettter.
