New Hinges or Hinge repair kit?

My door hinges are worn and I have to lift the door to shut it... I thought about buying new hinges until I saw a door hinge repair kit. Dorman makes a door hinge repair kit for much cheaper than a whole new hinge.

Have any of you guys repaired your door hinge with one of these kits? I wonder how hard it is and if it is worth it vs. buying a whole new door hinge.

i used a repair kit with good results... once ya pull the hinge off the car its not too hard to do.

The kits only service the pins. If the smaller star wheels are eating the S spring etc.. the repairs fell short. If the pin has worn the holes beyond the outer diameter of the bushings the bushing will crack. The bushing needs a good round hole at the correct size.
There are a couple of different methods of servicing the hindge pins. One way is unbolting the hindge. The other way is cutting the original pins into smaller pieces to remove them.
