After machine shop has had my heads for a few weeks he calls me today saying he's having trouble finding factory type 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves. They are out of stock on a bunch of sites I'vre tried so far. So what are you all doing as an alternative or am I looking in the wrong place. I would like to keep the 4 ring retainer slots if at all possible. Should I put a wanted add here and/or should I try to find NOS somewhere?

Install 11\32 valve guides and use Chevy valves and retainers

Call northern auto parts. Their website isn’t that good, just have to call, but they usually have all the factory replacement parts. Ive had really good service and they always had what I needed

You are in there. Convert that thing to 11/32 stem valves and never look back.

The cost is a bit more because you need locks and retainers but it’s not that much.

I don’t care for multiple groove locks.

I have NOS in Box Manley premium valves Race / undercut stems etc for your heads ( stock ) LA height etc
If interested these are older USA made

My preference is to always get away from the multi-groove valves.

Going to 11/32 stem valves is a good way to gain some badly needed installed height, which opens the door to a greater spring selection.
