Attached is a photo of our third child, my black furry daughterO:) I did not realize that the large dog breeds are suceptible to ACL injury of the knee joint. After Emma was diagnosed with a torn ACl in her left knee joint and surgery the only option for repair, we made the appointment with a specialist to repair her left knee. Before the appointment she had a duplicate injury of her right knee joint which appears to be worse than the original injury. The surgeon said to bring her in and he would fix the worst knee joint first. This involves sawing the bone and installing a titanium plate in the joint. We picked her up today fresh from the first repair and will nurse (see wife) her back to health to have the 2nd repair done. News folks! this is the most common injury repair done to atheletic dogs of any breed. This girl is my wife's absoulte best friend who walks 3-4 miles a day with her every day! No choice but to fix the dog:) Anyway I thought I would share with you all and see if any of you share this experience.
Warmest regards to all-----DR-----:burnout:
