Whats up everybody ?

I am working on a restification of a 1971 Scamp.

So far I have rebuilt/upgraded the engine, front susp, tranny (a833), rear end, interior, and now I am doing bodywork, which will probably take me most of the summer since I'm replacing both quarter panels.

The car was fairly heavily optioned, with disc brakes, 8-3/4", bucket seats, front sway bar, aircond, etc.
It was an automatic but I converted it to 4-speed two summers ago. I've also added a set of 15x7 sbp rallys and new 235/60-15 meats. I also installed new 2.5" dual exhaust with stainless tips.

Mopar on dudes,,, just wanted to introduce myself.

Basically a Scamp is a Dart body with a Duster front clip and dash.Engine options were a Slant 6 or a 318.Driveline as far as i know were auto. and 7 1/4 rears i may be wrong.Correct me if i am.Dodge Demon's were just the oposite Duster body and a Dart front clip but they were a HP car with the 340's and had more engine and driveline options.

I beleive that only /6's and 318's were available in Scamps.. However
a lot of them did have 8-3/4 rears and disc brakes.
I've owned a 72, and now a 71. Both had the 8-3/4 rear, disc brakes, front sway bars, and air conditioning. My current 71 also has from the factory a white bucket seat interior.
Scamps ROCK !

Heres a better pic of the interior,,,
Mine is the only one i've ever seen that had factory buckets.

I've never seen one with factory buckets either! That white interior looks sharp! What size engine are you gonna put in it?Big block?Small block?

EvilScamp,,
I rebuilt the original 318 with the following mods,

030 overbore, the pistons I got should give me about a 9:1 comp.ratio
Stock 340 grind cam
late 70's 3184bbl heads, 1.60 and 1.88 valves
edelbrock dual plane intake with edelbrock 600cfm carb
early style 340 exhaust manifolds.
Mopar perf. Electronic ign.

It runs pretty good, but I should have just found a 360 builder and gone that route. It cost me just as much to build the 318 and I would have had more power,, but the moneys already spent so guess I'll live with it.
