Havent they been talking about building a tack there for a long time ?

I lived there about 10 years ago and heard the rumors then.
 
Yea,it is a long story that can be read on the LIMA website.I am just trying to reach out to all the Long Island members,especially the Suffolk residents.But it's not only racers,it would be great for the show car peeps as well!!
 
Seems like the Town of Riverhead could care less about a race track. :angry7:

I've signed several petitions for this, never seems to gain any traction unfortunately. Guess I should try to make it to this thing.

E-Town is 80 miles one way for me and costs about 12 bucks in tolls, Riverhead is like 40...would be nice.
 
This could be our last shot:angry7:please spread the word,I am SICK of dealing with the traffic coming back to the Island on a sunday night!!!!

I did not submit to the poll,I did go to Riverhead about a month or so ago to confront the town supervisor.I get on the LIE at exit 33 and went out there with my flatbed tow truck.Not sure yet if I can make it.
 
probably nothing. im 22 years old and from when i was 6 months old till i was about 16 i was at the track in the hamptons every weekend watching my uncles and grandfather race. i finaly get a mopar and they tear the thing down. thers been so many petitions now im convinced it will never happen and accept only driving to jerz and race maybe 5 times out of a season. our family has 7 cars , 5 all out race cars and 2 street strip cars. makes you wonder whats happening to our sport. take it to the streets

. really sucks theres no track around for us to race evry weekend. when we do go we usualy make it a big family event and have been having good luck at the mopar nats every years
