Newbie for El Mirage

-
All I know about these guys is what has been published over the years.
I don't think El Mirage is as greasy as running on salt.
Little aerodynamic tricks pay off , like blocking out the grille as much as you can.
Keeping wheel spin minimized is a premium.
Pay attention to every detail and if you are serious , keep records of everything for future use.
I will go on record right here and now and say I am jealous.
It looks like an absolute ton of fun.
There are a couple guys with LSR experience who hang out on moparts and I am sure there are web sites dedicated to this.
Learn as much as you can so you have less surprises when it is time to go , and good luck.
Definitely keep us posted on how it goes for you guys.

This is something I wished were talked about more. I think a lot of guys are starting to convert there drag cars as strips dry up and lots of other reasons that could fill the page. Tires what type and size to run. This is my question on such a cool topic.

Wow, I haven't been to El Mirage since dad ran 146.10 MPH in his '59 Plymouth. Have you been to the Southern California Timing Association website www.scta-bni.org/

Great photos. It appears that most of the cars are running front bias ply racing tires. Is this the norm.
