Well, my 66 Dodge Dart GT is being dropped off at my house in about 3 hours. Then, I'll officially be able to call myself a Mopar Guy! I've had a couple Mustangs in the past (66 coupe, 289 auto, and 71 coupe, 351 Cleveland auto) but I've always liked Mopars, and now I finally have one. This one has a 273-2bbl and an auto. I can't wait to start work on it. I know the paint job is REALLY rough, but there is no damage or rust.

Any other San Fernando Valley guys on here? Me and my 3 1/2 year old son go to Bob's in Burbank on Friday nights...

hey DaveZee don't sweat it! it is a mopar and that is all that matters! consider yourself one of us now! welcome..........

It's gonna grow on ya now. Dude, you have my car! I've got 2 '66 'Cudas, but I've always wanted a '66 Dart GT! I love the style. An old high school girl friend in Delano in 1968 had a '66 Dart GT convertible with a 273 Auto Console shift. Wish I woulda bought it! :wack: That's still a kool car, Dave. Straight body, too. Hey, I've had the 'Cudas for several years & haven't painted 'em yet! Did the interior on the red one in velvet, though, + put 1200 watt stereo in it! Oh, well, have fun here. :notworth:

Thanks for the welcome! r66 - C'mon, let someone else have a shot too. You can't have all the cool cars! lol

Sweet car, MoparJunkie! I need that headlight bezel in the bottom picture!!! lol

Welcome, good too see another 66 Dart fan. I have had mine for 11 years now, and just love it. And yeah, it can be additive. I also have a 65 cuda and a 65 Dart Vert. And it all started with the 66 Dart

Welcome aboard Dave. I've had mine for 28 years now, and hope to have it for a long time yet. I've owned several different Mustangs over the years, but you just can't compare a Mustang to a 66 Dart with a warmed up 360. :) Enjoy.

Hey, Dave. Gotta get all the old Mopars I can! Heard there was a quota on 'em! LOL. Say, I'm curious what you paid for the Dart? Get a deal?

Rich-

You tell me if I got a deal. No rust or body damage, strong engine and tranny, runs and drives, and only the driver seat and driver side rear panel need repair, even the carpet is perfect....

$1,400.

I'm pretty satisfied with what I paid. :thumblef:

Now ya went and spoiled it - the announcement.
Now we are all going to be envious - good score. :drinkers:

Dart GT...Cool, at least everyone knows your kinda car dude. I always get "what kinda car is that anyways". Some think it's a Dart from the front or Chevy ll from the back and most just scratch their heads. Many have seen my Valiant Signet plate on the side fender and said....I've never seen a Valiant Sport before...Da. I guess the word Signet looks like Sport. It's all I could afford at the time..so it's my keeper now. :thumblef:

You got a good deal, Dave, especially for a clean, '65 GT. They're worth a lot more than the regular Dart. Nice. If they have any more like it, let me know! :notworth:
