Welcome to Pomona. It’s almost time for some nitro.

Wish I was there!!!
Maybe the 2022 Winternationals...I need a nitro fix!
I usually sit in the same section this pic is from. About Row 7 off the first aisle.

I was surprised to hear that NHRA is going to Wild Horse Pass in Feb for the Arizona Nationals. I thought that was all over. One of the granbrats birthday is 2/25, sounds like a good excuse to go Phx
Scrappers made it through 1st round. :D

We got there early. The pic was taken before opening ceremonies started. There was actually a really good turn out.

Yea he tried really hard to crash that car. Luckily he didn’t succeed.

Ya I just finished watching it. I always record it and use my fast forward button to trim the show down some.

Just got back after spending the weekend. Man it was hot, but we had most of the place to ourselves! Not as many people as I thought would be there, but was great to be back!

My son and I go every race and been waiting for things to calm down and head back. Only in California do you have a low rider as a tow car!

Where the heck is everyone

That pic was taken almost 2 hours before the start of Round 1 of eliminations.
As you can see in the pic, winter weather in SoCal can be really brutal...the high temp at Pomona today was 89F.

I’m used to full stands on both sides of the track in Pa and Ohio.

They didn't even sell the far side. Saw the direct connection SRT car on TV coverage last night. Nice white and blue factory scheme. Yes, some dry heat over the weekend. Typical late fall dry Santana wind weekend without the wind.

Isn't the easily accessible Beer Stand on the far side?

I haven’t missed a race at Pomona in probably 20 years. Most of the time the grandstands on the opposite side of the track are closed. And really no one wants to sit over there because they stare right in to the sun for most of the day. Also, some tracks make it easy to get to the other side, tunnels and whatnot, not so at Pomona, you have to walk around the back side of the tower. Add to that how much seating they have on the pit side and it really makes the far side grandstands obsolete. Saying all of that, I have seen them almost full a few times.

Santa Anas for the World Finals and snow on the mountains for the Winternationals :D Gotta love Pomona :D

They were getting $15 for a tall can of Modelo at the Long Beach grand prix!
Insane.....we always packed a 6 pack at least in one of our service trucks to hit up when our 8-4:30 shift was over as we were locked in until 9pm as the vendor parking was inside the track.
