Nice car, but 20 grand and climbing ?

I would say it is well worth it. Try buying a used 4 door new generation Charger for that little. I've never seen a 69 Dart in Go green before, it looks sharp. I'm partial to Darts, and I know what I have invested in mine, so I have to disagree with you on this one.

Well for a man with the money and he wanted a car he could buy and not do anything at all to it , this might not be that bad of a price.... Lots of money but figure how much money it would take to make one look that nice........ But its more than I would pay for it....

I don't know how much the reserve is but for the current money I think it's a perfectly good deal. Even if you did all the work yourself you'd be hard pressed to build it for the money. Looks sweet in that color :-D

Body work and paint that nice can easily be in the $10,000 to $15,000 range Plus motor, trans and rear your now over $20,000.

Like I said ... I'm happy for him if he gets his money back out of it. And yes, nice car (and deal at 20 G's) for someone who typically strokes a check for their restoration work. I do 98% of it myself due to "budget restraints", hell, one of the reasons I'm into A-bodies- still fairly affordable project cars out there (the other reason - I like 'em, period - even if I had the jack, I'd own a few A-bodies) Curious hoe high this goes over the next five days.

Looks good i don't think the deal is outrageous it would go a little cheaper if it wasn't being sold by a broker though

I dropped *almost* that much on my car last year alone. Granted, I'm talking body, paint, trim, interior, TTI exhaust and a buncha other stuff.... but just remember: RESERVE NOT MET.

I'll be into my car for approx. $25,000 when it's finished. I built the engine, rebuilt the entire steering, suspension, and brake system (and not with junk...) plus I wheel & deal like nobodys business. In order to write a check for a car that nice (and it IS nice!) you'll spend WAY more than where it is now. Once you get past the color....which is purely objective, that's a sweet car. Not perfect, but sweet.

I wonder what he REALLY wants for it....

$20,000.00 all day long.
Even though there are a couple changes I would make, that care was done very, very nicely.Would be pretty hard to build that car for less than that.

I would agree the car is worth around 22,500.If your able to buy a 69 dart in good shape and spend 6,000 for the car and do that kind of work to it, paint, motor, trans, rear, you will have close to 25,000+ into it.Very Nice car, i have been watching this auction, i think the paint hurts it as it's not a original color for 69?

Well worth the money, judging from the pics. Although it would have been nice to undercoat it when it was painted.

I think the paint hurts ....

Please allow me some selective quoting here, as I have to agree. Please pardon my un-solicited opinion here, but for all you Sassy Grass Green and Sublime fanns, I'm sorry. That...that.... color grabs me in all the wrong places. And yes, it's not a `69 color. That lovely shade of St. Patty's Day bathroom splatter was first introduced in `70. And yes, it hurts.

But man-o-man, thats a sweet car. It does indeed look laser straight.

OK... I just noticed there's a $29,500 buy it now. Was that there earlier? And where did J6 Green Go come from? Am I learning something new today, or is the wrong paint & code being advertised?

Either way, that color still hurts....

Yes the color wasnt available in 69 neither were the rallye rims. I dont care for either being used on pre 70 cars myself.

The VIN says it's a MI built car, but there's no undercoat. Was undercoat an option or something?
I thought only LA built cars had no undercoat.
Please teach this neophyte!

FREAKIN STRAIGHT car though! WOW!

Sorry guys, but I can't see this much for a non original car. Yes, it's nice to look at but lets get real. For that much money I expect the original gauges to work and I don't need extra holes in the dash to fill because somebody took the easy way out and mounted aftermarkets instead of fixing the ones that were there. I would also expect a new dash pad instead of a glued on plastic cover. Would this car be worth this much with a slant? That's what it was born with. I know a lot of work went into this car and that work should be worth something. Nowhere near what the seller is asking though. Maybe half that tops. And I even like the color. Just my $.02.

My problem with saying whether a particular car like this is “worth” X amount is that I almost invariblay would do things differently IF I was going to build the car.
In other words a person can say it would cost more to build the car so it is a good deal all day long.
Yet I probably would be getting things on the car I wouldn’t chose IF I was going to build a car.
So telling me how much money a person has sunk in a car doesn’t mean anything to me.
I have sworn that I will never again by someone else’s hot rod.
(Which this car looks like to me)
It is very hard to know exactly what they have done to things which can’t be readily seen.
Along the same lines, what about the person that has invested a lot of money in an engine?
My position is that he better want to keep the engine. Because, again, he isn’t getting his money out of it from me.
If I wanted an engine, I would pick up the phone call Ray Barton (or Mancini) and open the checkbook.

Every car is " worth " what someone is willing to give for it..... Wait till the auction ends and you will see what it was worth to someone....

that is an awesome dart for sure. very clean resto.

Nice car like that and they put those crappy headers on it...
