1999 (V10) 3/4 ton truck. Southern bed, 99000 miles, new rear brake lines, inspected, Pa emissions. 3500.00. Paid 3000.00 for it and had it towed to a shop to put the brake lines on and change the fluids.
Nice score!, those v10s are awesome engines all around, well except for gas mileage lol.
Got a good friend who loves those V-10 Rams. He's had a few. However, In the last 3 years... he's gone to a Caravan. MPG are a bit better.
Comparing them to a 95 dodge with a cummins and they are terrible, comparing them to modern hemi and they are within a few miles per gallon I'm guessing. Thing is they seem to do about the same mpg empty or loaded in the 4x4 model and they are heavy rigs for sure!.His buddy, a retired Pa state policeman has one that he tows his B1 race car and the fuel mileage he gets my buddy is satisfied with. Not great but not terrible either.
I should say I am a big fan of them for a gas powered tow rig, they are overbuilt and the engines last forever.Comparing them to a 95 dodge with a cummins and they are terrible, comparing them to modern hemi and they are within a few miles per gallon I'm guessing. I've been driving Caravans for years, as a daily-driver. I actually prefer them to a car or truck. Lots of seating, or haul my race hemi engines [or anything else]. They'll do most anything.Had a few Caravans myself. My buddy bought and sold a ton of them at the local auctions.
