No broadcast sheet

Gents,

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to track down info. on a car based off the order number. My understanding is that the order number is on the VIN tag. In my case the order number is 049902. Unfortunately, I dont have the broadcast sheet and the previous owner and I have both looked behind/under everything.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

You didn't say anything about the fender tag. Almost as good a source as B/S.
 
Thanks for the responses guys. Yes, I have my fender tag. However, it does not provide all the details on the cars options. For example: spare tire size, rear axle ratio, steering wheel type, cigarette lighter, glove box light, hood pins, etc. I assume that the broadcast sheet would provide all that kind of info.

I will take a look at some of the links that you have provided.

I understand the want for more info ....

spare tire size should be the same as the others that came on the car. E70-14 I think.

rear axle ratio should be on the fender tag

cigarette lighter if it has an ashtray it most likely came with one.

hood pins if it has the holes for them on the core support it probably had them (I don't think all cars were drilled for pins but a spot was there to be drilled on some models)

What specific questions do you have?
