68 Cuda with 318. Engine cranks over but won't start. I have no voltage at the coil, but I have voltage across the ballist ressistor when ignition is in start position. I drove it last week and had no problems. Help

Is the coil shorted? Have you tried another coil? Did you check the air gap in the distributor. Is the pickup good? As this will create a short and cause the coil not to fire as it becomes a ground. Is the coil getting hot? If so change the pickup.

What is a pickup and where is it. I just purchased a new ECM and that didn't fix the voltage problem. I am frustrated

Thanks BJR, I solved the problem with help of Redfish. It turned out to be the ballist resistor. I am just wondering why the ressistor burned out and if there is an after market brand that is better then OEM.
