Here's a 68 Fastback I went and looked at back in march or april, I think he was asking $4500 then. It's about five miles past bumfuck nowhere, outside of the town of Mendocino so at least it's a nice drive... I hope someone can get some benefit from this. You'll need a trailer.

The bad: it's going to need more hours of bodywork for the entire front clip, may as well replace with all fiberglas. Will need panel between rear window and trunk replaced. I can't remember if the trunk pan needs replaced. Some flooring sheetmetal needs replaced. I consider the 340 nothing more than a core, the heads were off for a while and it's been parked out by the coast for who knows how long. If I remember right, the driver's door striker is either missing, or the sheetmetal is all torn to hell and gone.

The good: He has a TON of new suspension parts. The glass was good, and so was the dash. Also, I can't remember if I was impressed with the condition of the trunk trim.

If I had the money, I'd just offer to buy the rear end, MAYBE driveshaft, trans, pedal assy, etc to convert to 4 speed. I wouldn't even bother with the front end suspension as it's about half disassembled.

This is a parts car, I wouldn't pay more than $3000 for it.

Why are people so afraid of no title.... you kill your chance before you try... ALOT of time they just misplaced it....simple... have owner apply for lost title.... or have a service run a lien on it.... geez i used to pay a service 100 to get me a title through lien years ago....
