This is my customers engine after he got it back from the body shop. Says it was fine when he dropped it off....

Number 6 conrod is so messed up it will no longer fit through the bore, was a nice engine, headers, cam, 4bbl manifold. Block is already .060'' over.

Thats good to know, the only thing is the amount of money that we have to sink into it might be more than he can swallow. It needs everything.

this is out of a 65 dart, so it has the small crank pilot.

Looks like a Comp Cams 264 S cam. I don't have personal experiance with that cam, but have heard of problems with oil pump gear/cam problems. That is what the pictures show. Wiped out oil pump gear and cam gear. If it had a high volumm oil pump that makes matters even worse, as it puts more load on the gears. Gears fail, pump stops pumping, bearings fail. Not saying the body shop didn't "play" with it. Not likely to have a rod go away like that, just moving the car around.
