Notice from Mozilla about FABO ?

-
So this morning, I figured there was some relation between the two, my computer security and my cell security.
(security problem?)

I'm not sure why your cell has been doing this for a "weeks" - but as I said earlier ---- Its nothing, ignore it, it will be fixed this morning....

I did not want to say anything because I figured that I would get blown off
with "It's my cell phone's problem"

Nobody 'blows you off' ---- fact is, more often then not problems are on the user's side, so we check for that first. I had someone just yesterday on another site complaining he couldn't send a pm, kept getting an error. After 6 or 7 posts we find out his mailbox is full and he never bothered to actually READ the error which told him that.

This is the first time I have saw problem. Joey said it will be fixed this morning. I have faith. I have saw this with other sites in the past. Moparts, Racing junk and others. Steve

Its a common problem right now. You have to automatically renew the security certificate and if that's not programmed 100% correctly, it throws this error. Its nothing. Just a PITA.

My PC wouldn't log onto FABO this morning because Mozilla warned me that the website's Certificate had expired as of today. It said that my information could be taken by other people without a valid certificate. I took the temporary acceptance and got onto the website. Should I be concerned????

Thanks,
Treblig

It cleared up this afternoon, no clue what it took but thank you.

Two days later & it could have been a heck of an 'April Fools' prank. ;-)

Security is good thing and I'm glad someone is taking care of us.

Here are the facts:

Android version 4.3
Base Band Version
M1919UVEMK2
Kernel Version
3.4.0-201522
se.infra@R020-07#1
Sat Nov 16 14:22:56KST 2013
Build number
JSS15J.M919UVUEMK2
SELinux status
Enforcing
SEPF SGH-M919 4.3 0010

Now, I don't know what 75 percent of that means.
Google has probably encrypted my security number and retinal scan in the information.

But I do know that when I got the damned phone it tried to "update" automatically.
My carrier told me that if in let the update install, I would not be able to do a "factory reset" on it.
(Take that for what's it's worth. "Tech support"? HA.)

So I always have kept "Download Manager" and "Software Update" apps turned off.
I have a friend at work who had the same phone and the sneaky thing updated behind his back.
It made his phone suck.
He now has a new phone.
I've still got mine and it still works on every site EXCEPT this one.
So, tell me where the problem is.
Its my phone.
I'm not trying to be sarcastic or smart ***.
But "Security certificate" on this site?

My phone:
"SSL connection error"?
"...may be a problem with the server"?

The internet tells me that error is usually a server issue.
But that doesn't mean always.
I understand enough to know that things change and it probably is the phone.

I may have exaggerated about "weeks" and the server upgrade.
But maybe 2?
Yea, I'm pretty sure of that.
Time flies.

I curse Widows 10 as well.

Let me edit it to say:
Of all the web sites I visit, the error message is only on here.
(No **** sites)
I have checked another "foronly" site.
No problem there.

Exactly what are they going to steal from you here ?
Nobody posts acct #s or Social security #s I hope....

Is there more risk that I don't understand ?

Members post their e-mail addresses and Pay Pal info in the private messages and sometimes in the regular posts. Birth Dates, city of residence, addresses, work status, monetary status, etc, etc. If you're a scammer all that stuff has value, just as FACEBOOK!!!

Got it...
FYI, I always post the wrong birth date on all web sites like this one (I'm not paranoid, but I do think that someone is watching me). Yes I get many Happy Birthday wishes at the wrong time, but you know what they say......It's the thought that counts!!!

I went to get on the site and a warning popped up that someone is trying to steel my info. Now it pops up every time I try to sign on. Is anyone else having this problem or Does anyone No what to do about this or . I saw there is no one signed on on the home page.
Yes, got a "your connection is not secure, hackers trying to steal your info from fabo..."

Meanwhile it was secure, just not the sites servers.

I dont mind, nothing on this site is going to bite my *** if it were compromised. I got more personal stuff on facebook and everyone knows that site was whored out to anyone with a buck.

Have you cleared your history and cache?

Yes sir.
But I'll do it again because I'm addicted to you.
The one thing I haven't tried is that "factory reset".
No big deal and I'll try that tomorrow.
Oh what the hell, I'll do it now.
I haven't done it because I figured the problem IS my Android version. (phone)
I'm a Jelly Bean.
(Not sure what flavor though)
And the internet says I'm not supported anymore when I checked.
How do they know I'm wearing boxers?
Neither IE or Chrome will work on my phone.
I'm "SSL" here.
But the other foronly works.
Android doesn't like A bodies or something?
It's not fair.

I had the same thing happen but within 10 hours it went away. I never checked the problem from my Android so maybe it was a Mozilla issue...... Dunno lol....

I did a "factory reset".

I can access:
ForBbodies
ForEbodies
ForRoadrunners (69Roadrunner.net)

But get the "SSL" error trying to access here and forCbodies.
I guess I'm screwed.

edit:
You know, I may get desperate in a few weeks and allow a software "update".
But I'm paranoid the phone will give me problems then.
I think they do that so you have to buy a new phone.
I mean, I just can't access here.
The rest of the internet seems to work.

edit, edit:
And if I knew that would take care of the issue I might be inclined to risk it.
But what happens if it doesn't?

my S4 is as up to date as Verizon is pushing out so...It has all the security patches...some sites use new HTML that wasnt even around when 4.3 was made.
Sorry, its an S5 running 6.0.1.

what is the error exactly?

It's the same words as I get trying to access forabodiesonly with my phone.
See the bold type in my post # 23.
The words are in a white box on my phone.
Chrome and IE both don't work here anymore.
I'm thinking there must be some similarity between the two sites in the magic on your end.
I can't look on here as often because it doesn't like my phone or something.:(

Because you seem to be the only one with the problem I'm thinking its a problem with your phone somehow.

@adriver

I had a similar problem only on my android tablet after the "https" change was implemented. The tech @ the Verizon store had no clue...Ugh :BangHead:

I deleted my browser app -- then reinstalled it. Worked fine after that :)

Maybe that will help you too!!
