i have a chance to pick one of these up in a trade, anyone have any experience with this intake?

what? did i say something wrong? offy? i can find very little about this intake on the web, and only pertaining to a chevy of course, any thoughts would be appreciated

I had 2 of these, sold 1 and i am selling the 2nd now on a auction site..Worth a little $$...Good luck

Well what engine is it for? Big block? Small block? Slant six? Chevy? Ford? Slowpar? Briggs and Stratton?

Really dude. You may as well have asked "will this red thing help my car?"

Just because you know what you're talkin about doesn't mean everybody does.

This is the description from Summit.

"Offenhauser Dial-A-Flow intake manifolds take a really unique approach to power selection. They let you pick the performance level you want, simply by changing the specially contoured Flow Control inserts that sit in the plenum to regulate the fuel/air mix. As you move from Stage I to Stage III, power increases get bigger and move up the rev band. Inserts can be custom-shaped with a die grinder or carborundum to change performance characteristics. Power bands spread from 1,500 rpm to nearly 9,000 rpm."

well at least i got a response! sorry about that, im usually in the small block section. thinking of putting it on a 1975 360, 727, 355s, not sure on cam or heads yet, car will be 72 demon

From the description it sounds like more of a gimmick, although I have never used one.

kind of the way my thoughts were leaning, i vaguely remember seeing the ads for it way back when, never knew anyone who ran one!its in a possible horsetrade, one garage ornament for another i guess

I still have one , ran it on a 340 in a 67 fast back auto. back in the early 1990s
it worked well enough that I still have it. The one in the ebay link is missing the
whole dail a flow section but will still make a good intake. definitely worth a
hundred bucks even as a museum piece. I would have no problem using mine again.
Cheers.

Used the Off "Dual Port", on a stock Datsun.(actually worked..) Been into: basic hot rodding 30+ years, never heard of it....
