Need to find out where the cork round gasket goes. The kit came with a fat cork gasket and a small thin fiber gasket. Does the cork go under the filter adapter or on the outside?

I think the cork is only used if you are using a 90 degree adapter. I dont use the cork. I also drill 4 more holes in the housing for better oil flow.

wow never thought about drilling more holes. good advise! Does it help that much more?

Swinger340 is correct, the cork gasket is only used if you have the 90* oil filter adapter.

I see it done in a mopar mag. and by others on here as well. Not sure how much it really helps, but it deff. dont hurt. More oil flow cant be a bad thing.
