oil filter plate gasket....

There is only one gasket that goes between the block and the oil filter plate correct?? Than you have the threaded adapter which holds that plate to the block. No gasket on that fitting is there???

between that fitting and plate.... do i make any sense? I have no idea what this stuff is called, sry.

alrite just making sure as thats what i thought.

When i went to change the filter the other day i saw some wetness above the plate on the block. So after burning the SHAT out of my arm on the xhaust I went to tighten it.... the 3/8 extension slipped out of the square hole and caused it to put pressure on the thin wall threads, cracked it...

so orderd a new one from the dodge stealership for $25 lol.


I found the torque setting to be 15 ft. lbs. so hopfully its all sealed
