Oil filter threaded rod

Not sure what it's called but I'm looking for the threaded rod that the filter screws on to. My block doesn't have one... Is there something else that i may be missing too like a plate or something?

You can get them new at your local Dodge dealership. I don't have the part number (I can't find the receipt) but I just bought one not to long ago. I had to describe it to the sale agent. The oil filter plate also is available if you need that.

my 1974 parts book calls it " Adapter 10-26-5" Part # 3671602 for small blocks, # 1739619 for big blocks. The numbers may have changed since 1974 but I hope it's a good starting point.

the reason you dont have it is,,some one was using the angle adapter instead od thr filter directly to the block,,,like you want to do..
