69 Barracuda with 318. Got the new gasket kit for the oil pan. The rubber end pieces have rubber nubs on the end that are supposed to push into existing holes. I can manage to get the o e side in but the other nub is larger and will not push or pu into the hole. Suggestions?

One side is bigger than the other. Swap ends and try again. Just be careful you don' break them off. A little dab of grease or oil helps.

and try use some square nose pliers to gently pull the locator enough to lock it in. ..I use a little rtv under them anyhow..it helps them slip through.

I can't get it in far enough to grab it. Seems much too large for the hole. Maybe a bad set. I guess I could drill one hole out just a hair to help it through?
