Ok I am replacing my oil pan 07 motor if it matters. Two questions. Anyone have the sequence to bolt it down or should I just do a random alternating. Second the gasket appears to be a part of the windage tray ? Is that right or am I missing something.?

Thanks Ray

The gasket is integral to the tray I'm fairly sure. It was on my 06 at least and I don't think they changed it. I'm sure there's probably a spec listed somewhere for bolt sequence, but I just did mildly snug and alternated a few times. Haven't seen any rail leaks yet, though I did have a small pinhole leak in a weld on my Weldtech pan.

Thanks for the reply. So I just reuse the original tray with a gasket sealer? I purchased my pan from Bouchillon performance.

I would buy a new gasket. I think I spent around $40 for the new pan gasket. I didn't use Amy gasket sealer/silicone. Didn't see any need to.

I can't remember exactly, but I think I just used a light coat of silicone on both sides of mine when I put it back together. You might double check all the holes on the gasket and pan though, I had to drill out two at the back of mine (difference between the car and truck gaskets). It's not a big deal, but as mentioned, it might be easier to get a new one to be safe.

I guess it would be easiest to just buy a new one. What the hell it's going in an E body and us E body guys are loaded or so I've been told. LOL.
