Yup dont want to hit a low sitting oil pan on every little bump you see...or dont see.

Many people have spoken highly about Milodon's small block Road Race pans. They also have a big block version. Only 5.5" deep, yet well baffled and holds 7 quarts. But I don't know if anyone here has used it or how header fitment is.

I'm using a Milodon 31581 road race pan on my raised deck in a '67 Dart. It isn't quite flush with the k-member, but it only peeks out maybe 3/8".

I forgot to mention, I'm using Pro Parts headers. And they clear with ease. I had to clearance the K-member quite a bit for the external oil set up, but I'm sure you'll be fine with the non external pan.
