My 340 holds 70 lbs cold when it gets warm it will hold about 45 to 50 on rd but at idle about 25 warm put in gear warm 10 to 15 . some told me it was the cam 508 mopar not much convertor thanks.

10 to 15 should be ok at idle. As a rule of thumb you want about 10psi for every 1000 rpms the motor is spiining so 10psi at a 1000rpm idle is ok, aslong as its making atleast 40psi at 4000rpms. If you only have 15psi at 5000rpms you may have a problem.

When my old 340 got tired it was only pushing 10psi warm from idle up. My new motor is pushing 110psi at 7200rpms wich is kind of scary. I'm hoping some synthetic oild will drop the pressure at high rpms a bit.

Sheets, my recently rebuilt 360 (stock oil pump) runs 60psi hot (70 cold) on the road and 30 at idle. Doesnt drop below 20 even at 700 rpm.

Thanks Tim Mine didn't drop to 10 until I took out 3500 converter , had three 904s go out and didn't trust it so went to 11 inch convertor
