my 1967 dart chrysler factory service shows all models to have a 4 qt crankcase. add 1 QT for filter. except hemi. i have never thought of 1/2 QT one way or the other in the crank case as a big trouble. however dad use to say a old type 318 would throw out the first QT or 1/2 QT if filled to full. but now i figure it had more to do with oil quality.
