A custom Howard’s cam is about 175 USD now granted time frames suck due to core shortages. Oregon Cam is in this range also. So 900 usd is just wack..

I have the next step up extreme cam in a 340 and is powerful with a good power band for an auto car. Just not right for a 4 speed car.

Quick question…. What rocker arm ratio are you running?

I think he is talking roller cam. Kim

Then your going to have to recalculate the lift by dividing the lift by 1.5 then multiply by 1.6.

.544 / 1.5 = .6666666
.666 C 1.6 = .580

Is a .580 lift possible with your current head gear?
Aftermarket pistons? Piston clearance?

youre losing me a bit aahahahha...its for a complete stock 300hp crate engine , but it as a 410 lift cam , its all stock rotating assembly , im just going with the best replacement for the discontinued 380hp camshaft

The cam lift on that. Imo cam is ground in and calculated with a 1.5 rocker arm ratio for a .544 lift. The Magnum rocker arm is a 1.6 ratio. This gives more lift which I should the math above. Your new lift is .580.

If your using the stock Magnum head, you will have clearance problems with the new lift spec.

Of those two, the thumper is closer to the 380, and I like the 107 lsa better than comps 110 (comp, EVERYTHING is 110).
I am leary of a cam that is ground to produce a ratty idle, and a sound, more than power however.
Have you looked at Lunati? I like a lot of their grinds. Mostly the voodoo's.

Pardon my ignorance, I'm a big block guy. Are those engines, the 300 and 380, flat tappet or roller?

I guess out of those two cams I'd choose the 2nd one. I agree with everyone else, I think there are better options out there.

I like the Thumpr. Probably make more power than the 380 cam. But who in the WORLD are you calling for prices? Solid Gold Cams, Inc.? Call Ken Heard at Oregon Cams. I think his roller regrind price is like 179 or so? He has lots of grinds to choose from.

I'm wondering if he's talking to canadian-only dealers? I think the border is still closed. A friend bought a pro-mod avenger from Canada, almost a year ago, I haven't heard that he got it yet.

You gotta be kiddin me. What the **** do they think they're accomplishing closing the border? I mean seriously, it's tough enough getting stuff from here to there "reasonably" when the borders are open. This is all so ridiculous.

The border has been closed since April or may 2020. I believe it just opened both ways. U need both Covid shots and a negative Covid test to travel either way. Kim
