Indy 360-2 heads. Does anyone know if there's a tool to compress/replace the valve springs with the heads still mounted on the block? I have the tool to do this on W5 heads, but not the Indy heads.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Bill

I have found that those intended for overhead cam engines work well for engines with rocker shafts. I have an old KD Tool compressor made for the old Datsun OHC 4 and 6 cylinders that works good.

this is the one I got from Ed Hamburger many many years ago...it looks pretty simple and I have used it dozens of times on standard and w2 heads....

It would not be hard to copy.....

Duster360, does that one work on Indy heads?

As long as it has the shaft cradles like stock heads. Which I thought they did. I could be wrong though.

Here is a picture I found of the head. As long as the stands are in the stock location it will work great.
