‘68 Formula S 340/4speed drk green w black interior(of what’s there) I have known of this car for many years and when the chance came up to buy it….i did. It was a ‘we’re restoring it’ for the past 15 years, but with the Michigan rust, there was too much to handle. I’ll never get to it so I’m offering it up for a restoration or you can part it out and make some cheddar yourself. I’m in the process of trying to get it to start, it ran great when parked. Any questions just ask. Frame rails are good, underside is solid, just the outer sheetmetal basically need to be replaced. Quarters, doors & fenders. Diamond in the rough, and I have zero time for it. I do have the Hood, nose and bumper for it as well, just haven’t put it on yet.

Is front clip from a donor car?
Nope. Unfortunately the front clip was off, and half sanded, and a square cut out of the pass side for some reason, but it is all the original sheet metal. The hood is still nice!! Lol….

The reason I inquired is that from what I know, BH23 refers to the hardtop version, opposed to BH29 for the sport Fastback. I was also under the impression that 1968 340 & 383 4spd models had the rear torque boxes.

That tag does not go to that car.
BH23 is a hardtop (coupe/notch)
BH29 would be a fastback.

Well I’ll be damned…..you are correct. I’ve never noticed this, or obviously I wouldn’t have posted it! Wow!

Remember fellas, this is a sale thread and not a option information thread. If you want to talk options, start your own thread and have a discussion. Thanks

I was under the impression that the 340 stick cars had both frt and rear torque boxes. The two 69 340 4spd swingers I have plus a 71 340 3spd stick car all have frt. and rear boxes. I have a 69 340 4spd rolling shell for sale listed here and it also has frt and rear boxes. That said I have heard that some examples have had only rears or in some cases just frts or even none at all. Quality control wasn't always the best ????
Hello Bennoel, I may be interested in your 69 shell, is a Barracuda or dart? What can I search to find it? After getting this 68 running tonight, I might be interested in dropping it into a solid shell and be happy w it! Please let me know.

I don't think it's for you. It's rough as I stated, your Cuda is better than my dart. Really needs to be re-bodied.

I appreciate your honesty. This Barracuda needs everything, the body will need some major restoration itself. If I could find a decent body, I’d consider keeping but…..!

I know you said the interoir was shot is it all there to be able to be redone

Is the color dark green outside and what's the inside color ? Any more inside pictures ?

Drk green exterior, black interior. Assume the interior needs to be completely restored. It was all pulled out except the front buckets, carpet and dash, I had to pile it all back in back when I purchased it.
