Original dash, 1960 Valiant: wiper switch

But the wiper switch appears to be corroded solid. Can a universal switch be installed without a lot of trouble? The original knob is intact.

Well, well, well. While fiddling with the dashboard I gave the vintage 1960 knob a gentle tug to see how hard it would be to remove it to replace the switch beneath it. To my surprise the wipers came to life. I had no clue one pulled the knob, rather than pull it. I've been very gentle with the knobs and such, but solved my problem!
