So I lost a brake pad in the middle of the freeway, limped my 68 valiant off of i5 and got it towed home. When I took off the calipers to rebuild them, I noticed the driver's side caliper had clips that the passenger side (the side that lost the pad) didn't have. I need to find the two clips to rebuild the brakes, because if I don't find them then I can't rebuild the brakes. Does anyone know where I can find someone selling original parts for this car?

Go to Rockauto.com '65 Mustang dics brake hardware kit. Just what you need, and cheap too.

Thanks! It turns out that's the same part # as the hardware kit for the valiant. My only problem was there isn't a picture to go along with it, so I didn't know if that's what I needed. I appreciate the help!

You can find them at any vendor, seller, for Mustang parts.
But look under 67 Mustang, for the pad retainer clips.
65 66 Kelsey Hayes, 4 piston calipers, used a big "retainer plate" wether they are Ford, or Mopar, calipers.

Thanks for the info ! While starting my rebuild, I noticed that the cylinder that hyper extended looks like it's a bit gobbed up and the same with that piston. So instead of spending more time and money on parts and rebuilding, I'm opting for remanufactured pieces from rock auto. But I really appreciate the information, especially that last post about how all Kelsey Hayes 4 piston are the same between manufacturers
