Okay, FIRST .. I am not cheap or a bah humbug kind of guy. I love Christmas for religious and secular reasons, if that's possible. I mean I like to give my daughter and granddaughters ANYTHING. I'm usually in trouble for too many gifts for the grand kids, but that's for another time.

Now to the subject. We have a few nieces/nephews who are all 25/30 year old range. We still by gifts for them, which has been going on since birth. Also the parents of these "children". They also buy for us. It is ridiculous that this has been going on for all this time. What would you like, oh, a blue sweater, okay send me a link and I'll get it. I'm buying 15+ gifts and getting as many that I reallllly don't need or want. At my age, if I want something, I buy it. ( within reason..... usually )

This year my daughter, who has felt like I have for some time, said this is the year we need to do this secret Santa thing, it's long over due (Still my girl :)) My son in law did a algorithm, whatever the hell that is, and I got my brother in law, who I'll buy a bottle of Jack and piss off my sister in law.
NOW everybody, except her and I, are :mob::mad: grumbling. When does this gift giving stop for the 2nd tier family. I love them, but come on.

We stopped buying gifts for adults years ago. Everyone already has too much stuff. Friends and family, that's what it's all about....Plus a few gifts for the little ones.

I am not a fan
At least, not with the inlaws

I never get anything useful, unless my wife draws me and then I feel like I bought it for myself anyway

This year I was told I drew my niece

I'm thinking of buying her a pink ruger LC9

It's a little more then the suggested 20 bucks, but it might just be right what the doctor ordered to put this nonsense to bed
