Had the '73 340 Duster out for a short drive today.
Within 10 minutes time, I had at least 6 different people approach me and tell me how awesome the car was. One guy actually stopped talking to the group of people he was with and walked across the parking lot just to get a look at the car.
Seemed like a pretty good short drive, since I was just out to pick up some parts for it. Then I get home and it all goes to crap.
I rolled up the windows, closed the moonroof, got out (keys in my hand) and was going to check the oil and such when I noticed the moonroof wasn't completely shut. So I unlocked the door, got in, set the keys on the seat, closed the moonroof, got out and closed the door.
"Oh ****"
ops:
Locked my keys in the car, the only set of keys in existence to that car. Not to mention my house keys and shop keys were on the same ring.
ops:
After making some phone calls, my dad drove over and unlocked the shop for me so I could get my tools to unlock the car. Spent the next hour trying to unlock the car, finally got in, got my keys and all is well again.
Tomorrow I'm going to get spare keys made for the Duster.
