OK a 235-70R-15 tire is 28" diameter would this tire fit the front of 1971 Duster without any issues? The tire width is 9.2 Thanks for any info
Ya a 255-60-15 is 27.1 diameter, I just like a liitle more sidewall width on my set up,View attachment 1714959177 I got a 225/70/15 on a 15 x 7" rim on the front of a 67 barracuda. I did roll the front of the fender to make them fit. And no off-roading. Roll out baby.

Thanks for the info 72bluNblu you would know235/70/15 on a Duster? Uh, I don't think so. With the backspace on most 15" rims you'd be lucky to fit a 235/60/15. That's been done, but not all cars can pull it off.
I ran 225/60/15's on my duster on cop rims, 15x7 with a 4.25" backspace. I had to max out the lower fender to bumper brace to clear the front corner when turning, and those are only 25.7" tall tires. Here's a picture with the 225/60/15's. I don't see an extra 2.3" for tire diameter.
Yes I was dealing with the front tires thanks for the pics love the dog dish
235/70 15 in the Back on stock rims. Absolutly no problems with that.
At least in my Valiant. Don´t know if the Dusters house is so different.
Going to run stock 15x7 police wheels not sure what backspace is don't have wheels in my hand yet,I was thinking maybe 225-60-15 front, 255-60-15 rear? maybe squeeze 275-60-15 on rear?Anything will fit with a big enough hammer and some cutting.
The lower front corner of the wheel opening is a pretty limiting factor, I'm sure that's what Dave was talking about when he said he rolled it back. That's actually the tallest tire I've seen on the front of an A body. The Duster front wheel openings are probably the smallest of all the styles though, coming pretty much straight down in the front and the back. Not sure what your backspacing is, but even a 235/60/15 is a stretch.
