Does anyone know if there are production numbers that show how many of a particular color was produced for that model year. I see a lot that show each model generically, but not as to paint and trim.

Yes, production numbers for individual paint codes are broken down. But they only give total numbers.
Example, If 100 cars are B5 blue, they can't tell you how many came with 440's,or slant sixes. They can't tell you how many came with chrome wheel trim, etc. They can say how many Darts came in B5,or how many Barracudas came in F7 green.

hi mtnemo is there any change color in the b5 blue between 70&71 my demon was built dec 1970 at the LA plant we had minor right rear quater damage that was fixed 1971 the color is just a little lighter and as i am now trying to fix some area of minor scratches i am finding that the rattle cans and the paint that has been mixed by two different places match the touched up area but not the org. color have gone to the trunk and interior but it still does not match the new paint we are hoping not to repaint the car as it is all org.thanks for your or any ones in puy

not trying to steal this thread but the answer to your question 340 demon is 340demon yes there is a difference between 1970 and 1971 b5 blues...1970 is much lighter, and 1971 is deeper shade of blue. see for yourself...
