Pam's Jamaican Blue Baby

-
Had to follow up on this statement.

I have 560 miles of hard driving on it and the grills have held up amazingly. Have traversed bumpy gravel roads, jacked the car up and down 100 times and I have scrubbed them to rid them of bugs. The repairs and the paint has held up as well. Not just on the grills but also on the side panels in the back that are made of plastic. Again no separation or cracking at all.

Just goes to show that you never really know if it will work till you try it yourself. Hope nobody got scared away by the ignorant comment regarding use of Decon.

Mope, the car is outrageously beautiful. Congrats to you.

Thank you all for the kind comments.....she is real proud of her baby. Sadly the /sixer developed a bad engine oil leak at the back end of the block and that can only mean rear main seal or I didn't use pipe dope on the oil galley set screw plug/it's loose.

She's up on jack stands till I can get a moment to check it with my video scope.

I pray that it's the galley plug......:prayer:

Otherwise you know what I will have to do.....:banghead:

The motor was missing the spacer on the crank so the seal went bad. No big deal. I fixed it and it ran awesome all summer!

Back to the windshield trim swap. I keep getting questions on that mod so I thought I would add a couple more pictures to help.

Tips:
Steele Rubber Gasket for hard top.
Lots of tape to keep from scratching paint and trim.
Silicone rubber tubing - to fill the small gap on the A pillar trim. The last picture shows the tubing if you look hard. Like I said, it's hard to tell once it's completed.

Ask away if you need more help.
