Great pics...I've always been a fan of the petty blue color his cars were painted!

He signed this for me in 2011 :)

Mike -- I believe that, this is the Chevelle that Richard ran a Match Race Series against, at Pocono, the day that I was there. -- They pushed Richard to the line, and he refused a burn out. The Chevelle did a Smokey burn out, and Richard Kicked As_. -- I stayed for a 2nd. run - same result. - The Chevelle had "Bailey's Atlantic - Endicott N.Y. " on it. -- This looks like Pocono. --- SEE BELOW. ---

--Definitely Not - Jr. not on the door.

Living close to Petty I think some of the things are funny that you hear. Petty Blue was actually made because they didn't have enough of one color just before a race. They mixed what they had and that is how Petty Blue was created. I actually was told this story by Thomas White who worked for Petty Enterprise and was a body man/ painter.
Everyone interested in racing should visit the Petty museum. More times than not, if it isn't a race weekend, the King just may be hanging around.

great pics thanks all you guys , but not one shows it with a front bumper like krazykuda's first pic . still looking . just might have to get with ''the king'' for one . my cam grinder has ground some cams for his resto projects . could be my in , lol .

no the first outlawed was just carb'd hemi with steel rear rims . but i think its got the same look to the front end .
