Hi guys and gals,

I'm trying to replace some bad power steering hoses on my wife's "new" 1975 Dart Sport. It was originally a slant 6 but was swapped to a 340 with a Saginaw pump. No matter which site I look at, I'm seeing hoses with a fairly straight section on the pump end, and hers is more serpentine. Pictures attached.

Can anyone show pics of their setup with a Saginaw pump? Maybe these newer hoses will work, but I can't visualize how that straight section would fit.

I've tried looking up earlier 340 hoses, slant 6 hoses, and nothing matches visually. There are places that sell Federal pump hoses that look similar, but the federal has an o-ring connection whereas the Saginaw has an inverted flare.

Editing to attach photos of the pump, which I was told is an early Saginaw.

I have the TRW pump and it's an oddball looking one like in your pic. Actually loops under battery tray lol.
Same here. I believed I used a slant hose if I recall. I just picked up a Saginaw pump I want to try so I'm curious how this plays out.

As I recall, your year with the spool motor mounts has a lot of room. Many different ones should work. Just get one and try it.

This one for a '74 Plymouth / Dart slant 6 on ebay looks very close although the bottom loop on yours was manipulated somewhat.

Thanks, Mike, I think I'll have to. Yeah, there

I'll check. The funny thing is I thought, "Hey that one picture looks JUST like the one I have!" It took a second to realize that yeah, that's my house in a spare door. :D

lol, I just wanted to have a better side by side.

Seems close after a 3rd and 4th look maybe not unless you could safely reshape both ends
