Want to put a 4-bbl on my '71 Dart GT with a 318, auto., 3.23:1 SG, elec. ign., and 2 1/4" duals to FlowMaster 40s.
I've located two intake manifolds:
1. Is a 1970 340 manifold for $30
2. Is a 1974 360 manifold also for $30
Which would you choose? Will either one work with my stock 318 heads?
Any other options/opinions?

Thanks,

Dan

Both will work, I would go with the 1970 340 intake, I have an almost identical set up (except I have hipo 340 exhaust manifolds) in a 1970 Dart with a 318 engine and it works great. What carb do you have? I run a carter 625. You could use the 360 intake too, would work great with a thermoquad! I would buy both intakes, those are great prices!! Keith.

He he he. That is a catch 22 aint it.

If I had the choice and both had good carbs to boot....

I'd go with the '74 and a T-Q.

Otherwise, I'd look for a Performer or a LD4B

While either will work well, especially for the price, you won't get 100% potential out of them because of the manifold intake ports being slightly larger than the head intake ports. You'll have a little perimeter lip/mismatch restricting flow a bit.

What Locomotion saiid. I'd fine a used Edelbrock rpm 318. They're pretty cheap and easy to find. Or, I'm wioth Rumble. The '74 is a better intake and will work with an adaptor better than the '70 will. The '70 is worth more tho...lol.
