ok so i saw the car again at carlisle so i snapped a few pics of the hood.

Wow! That car brings back memories. I had a 1966 Dart convertible in the same color. I drove it for 7 years, loved the 273 and the disk brakes. I sold it in 94'. The shaker hood is interesting.

I have never seen that one though, Looks good, and I bet it looks real good with the top down.:cheers:

I wish I had a picture of it, Satin black shaker on a factory goldish looking green. I never got to see it again.

Looks like he added the shaker to the hood, maybe full fiberglass and painted to give it the look. Fully pinned down.

I wanna mount one to the side just to get those looks.
That should be where that big Holley on the Slanty sits.
Must be a pretty stout one to pull those drive tires
