Anybody have pics of their racing seat brackets?I,m looking for some pics of brackets from the race seat to the back bar.Rules state 6 inches, can they be made adjustable?Lets see what you have? Thanks

Does anyone have an nhra rulebook handy? In any event it's safer to have the seats tied to the cage.

11.49 to 10.00 flat only need roll bar as long as the original floor and firewall is in car..

if it is a racing seat...you can use adjustable seat tracks from summit or jegs...must be double locking...and you can make an adjustable rear seat bracket...pretty easy..

this was talked about a while back. on stock seats no bracket is required. i had my seats tied into the cage, they are a100 seats, just to be safe. it is section 19 6:2 in the rule book....at least the 09 version

I,d still like to see some brackets that have been made or bought, that are on the back bar to seat. Thanks

Yep, that's what I made, you don't think I paid $45 DOLLARS for that do ya.

The 2 Tabs weld to the cross bar and the bracket bolts to the back of the seat then to the tabs.

Here you go hope this helps. If you need some let me know, I will send them to you but only if you bring your car
to Mopar Sunday LOL.

Starting with 2010 NHRA no longer sends out rule books with membership packets. The rules have to be downloaded off their website. I haven't tryed yet to see if only members can download rule info or not.

If you go into a barrel roll, do you want a bracket behind your seat, trying to break your back?

Yes at Cayuga ,Mopar Sunday is on Sept. 12/10, I am doing the race and car show this year. Two drag race classes, Hemi Super Stock Shootout ( last time I had twelve cars show up for the shootout) and also a car show.
I would like to invite all the local FABO members to come out, so we can all meet. I am most always at the track see you there.

That is a Hemi Super Stock certified cage by N.H.R.A. Used in many many
classes in N.H.R.A. and I.H.R.A. and yes I want my *** tied to that seat and break your back not likely.

When using a race seat, going faster than 10.99.The rules state that the seat back be no more than 6 inches from the back-bar and attached.Just a FYI.:read2:

P.S I might only run in the low 11,s,but plan on getting down in the 10,s.Safety first!

P.S.S I,ll be there all summer Hemiroid!

What seat are you using? I have an aluminum seat that rests against the bar. I just used two 1.5" exhaust clamps to bolt it to the bar and cut off the excess threads so they wouldn't dig into my back.

Heres mine .I made it from an old shock plate (that i cut in half) ,and a piece of scrap tubing.Worked out well for my "shade tree engineering" and the seat is rigid as can be now .Been through tech at a few tracks with no problems and cost me excactly $0.00 in materials to make...

No problem .Lots of things would work as well ,but i chose the shock plate because it was laying around on the floor and it already had holes drilled in it for the bolts (im too lazy to drill holes if i can avoid it ).I have the other half of the plate if you want to make you one ,lol...
