pinion angle

-
With my car dead level front to back on stands with spirit levels on the rockers, when I was building my trans mount for the 42RH. I used an angle finder on the carb base flange on the intake manifold, and another on the front of the engine block machined surface. When the carb base flange was at zero, the drivetrain was between 3°-4° angled down. I built my crossmember to accommodate up to 5° down, since it's easy enough to shim up the trans mount up if need be to bring it up.
