I have to replace the headliner in my 1967 Dart Gt. I have the copper interior with brown dash pad and carpet. I need a headliner and im getting a bunch of different names of colors. Ive heard dark saddle and ginger? Heres the photo of the piece hidden from the sun under the trim. Thanks.

From what I can see there is the following colors on the headlining for 1967 Dart Gt (LP) according to my Parts catalog. So copper would be my guess!
- Blue
- Red
- Copper
- Tan
- Black

The color name is just that. Get some samples from a supplier, match the color and buy it.

Is there a supplier making these or do I need to have one specially made?

Looks copper on this piece outside. It is from area under backglass trim molding. Has a rose tint to it. So if its copper would spraying it with copper interior paint work, I wonder? Thanks guys.

At the time I did my Fastback the headliner material was not available in the Copper, mine is more a reddish brown and the texture is wrong.

Send a piece of that headliner to SMS Auto Fabrics out of Oregon. They will match it exactly, send you a sample back, and make it for you as well. It won’t be cheap tho, everything has gone up, and that is not a very popular color, so it may not be in stock. By “in stock” I mean that they won’t have one made like they would with the more popular colors. They are the foremost authority on hard to find fabrics, even Legendary buys their hard to find fabrics from them.

My copper headliner from SMS cost $300, and that was easily 10 years ago. It was back when nobody was reproducing the copper headliners for 67 GTX

Thank you.

Often manufacturers of headliners and other interior soft parts will send you swatches of their fabric offerings, often several different swatches if you can get them in the ball park so you can compare them to old material.

SMS strikes again. I’m surprised that more people don’t know about them, they’re a wealth of info and products for all cars really, but they always seem to have the hard to find stuff. Like that little hardware store in town that is fighting with the big box stores to stay alive, that always has that little thing you need. Glad you found it, bud!
