I have 1970 Swinger 340 4 speed. I want to add power steering from donor car. What years and motors would work ? Thanks

I would think 68-75 A body small block will work if you get it all from the one donor (I think). Small sector shaft is what you want . You'll need a shorter column. I think there's a thread on shortening a manual .

Thanks I will start looking

I converted my 69. Since your 70 has biscuit motor mounts like the 69, the high pressure line of a Saginaw box can interfere with the K Frame. The brackets sold by CVF lift the pump a little and allow it to clear. As stated you'll need the box, pump with brackets, high pressure line & return, and the proper power column or power shaft. I converted for a faster ratio and had the box rebuilt by Firm Feel and used a low pressure pump for rack and pinions to rid the over assisted feel of the stock set up.

The earlier ones have TRW or Federal pumps. I have a TRW in my 68 Dart that I upgraded from manual.
