Power steering firmness, or lack of

I just installed a Hotchkiss suspension in my Dart and it is awesome. The power steering was REALLY loose...what I mean is it had ZERO resistance when you turned the wheel, response was fine, just felt very loose. The new suspension actually made it feel a little more "stiff" but it is still rather loose feeling. Is there a way or a product available that will help firm the steering up without changing the whole steering box/assembly?
If not, any good ideas/experience with other parts?

March (the pulley people) & Borgeson both have kits for about $20 that provide the shims, o-ring and a holder to adjust the pump preassure. I got my kit from Summit.
