power steering return hose leak at box

have a leak with the power steering return hose fitting where it screws into the power steering box , is there some type of brass washer the goes in between the fitting and the steering box

I don't believe there is a washer there. I would just pull the fitting and put some thread sealer on the fitting. Make sure NOT to put it on the starter threads because you definetly don't want any contaminents going back to the pump. You could put a filter in the return line just to make sure.

If I remember correctly, I believe there's an "0" ring in there.
